feasibility / appraisal

a feasibility study of your project allows us to identify your needs and assess and appraise the project. with over 30 years experience on an array of projects, we pride ourselves on taking your ideas and turning them into a reality.

planning applications

once a feasibility study has been undertaken and you are happy with the design we will compile an application, consisting of high quality presentation drawings for the proposed scheme along with a design and access statement, for the local authority planning department. with our in house planning consultant we will endeavour to obtain the result you want. as part of the feasibility study calculations will be done to explore the energy efficiency of the project, which has now become a vital part of the design process.

building regulations applications

prior to constructing your project, building regulations approval is required. our technical staff will provide technical drawings and specifications to comply with all the relevant regulations, therefore gaining approval from the local authority or nhbc. since 2007 sap calculations are now required as part of the application, and are a vital part to progress the design. all projects are overseen and checked by a partner to ensure accuracy throughout the design process.

construction information

for smaller jobs there is usually enough information in the building regulations package to allow a competent contractor to complete your building work. with larger jobs we can provide a further detailed construction information package to assist with the work.

tendering

to assist you further with your project, we can compile tender packages to issue to a list of potential contractors in order for you to obtain quotes for the proposed work. we will then assist you in appraising the tenders and appointing a contractor.

contract administration

as part of our service we will draw up an appropriate jct contract between yourself and the contractor, which will establish a contract sum and length of contract.

sap calculations (standard assessment procedure)

since 2007 sap calculations have become a requirement of building regulation applications for new dwellings. it has also become a fundamental part at the design stage to accomplish a successful project. as qualified sap assessors and as part of the design we will provide your project with the required sap calculations to further your project for building regulation and code for sustainable homes. with our accredited surveyor we can provide sap calculations separate to a design package

code for sustainable homes

from april 2008 all new homes must meet the requirements laid out in the code for sustainable homes.

measuring & cad services

in addition to the full design service we offer, we also offer our expertise in full measured surveys of properties that will be drawn up on computer in autocad by a competent draughtsman. all work will be overseen and checked by a partner to ensure accuracy.
